Flat out not tolerated. One rule each kids in elementary knows is "you can't say you can't play". Great guidance counselor who teaches the students how to cope with common difficult situations and the teachers how to reinforce this behaviors. Also the parents are a community and we talk to each other when and if something comes up as well to support our kids to work it out.
The class is small enough to offer individual attention but big enough for friendships. The class is very close and cares for one another, no one is left out. They have a great culture of inclusion and achievement and are God loving kiddos. They have loved each and every teacher they have had so far. I appreciate the attention given to the arts and music - top notch teachers in those areas. They love to go to school each and every day.
Our son is thriving at school! He loves his teacher and we love the fact that she continues to challenge and engage him academically. At SCS there is intentional care for the whole person - so while academics are important so is his spiritual, emotional and social health. The teachers are excellent and have the freedom to innovate in the classroom and share their faith with their students. Everything is taught from a Christian worldview which lines up with how we talk about the world at home and mirrors what he learns at church. Love it!
