They get the right balance and teach independence and responsibility for the work with each successive elementary grade. This does not remove the responsibility of the parent to be engaged.

Handles bullying effectively: Strongly agree

Flat out not tolerated. One rule each kids in elementary knows is "you can't say you can't play". Great guidance counselor who teaches the students how to cope with common difficult situations and the teachers how to reinforce this behaviors. Also the parents are a community and we talk to each other when and if something comes up as well to support our kids to work it out.

Supports LD students: Strongly agree

Classes are integrated and kids with different abilities are part of the class like everyone else. This make me really happy to be so inclusive and build understanding and empathy for others.

Effective school leaders: Agree

Being a small school everyone is a "leader" in the ecosystem and we are all responsible for effectives. I think we do a good job but there is always room for improvement.

Develops character: Strongly agree

This school let's each child develop their special gifts and help them along the way. When kids love who they are and have a strong faith these traits come naturally.

Teacher effectiveness: Strongly agree

I have had a great experience with the teachers here in elementary.

The class is small enough to offer individual attention but big enough for friendships. The class is very close and cares for one another, no one is left out. They have a great culture of inclusion and achievement and are God loving kiddos. They have loved each and every teacher they have had so far. I appreciate the attention given to the arts and music - top notch teachers in those areas. They love to go to school each and every day.

Our son is thriving at school! He loves his teacher and we love the fact that she continues to challenge and engage him academically. At SCS there is intentional care for the whole person - so while academics are important so is his spiritual, emotional and social health. The teachers are excellent and have the freedom to innovate in the classroom and share their faith with their students. Everything is taught from a Christian worldview which lines up with how we talk about the world at home and mirrors what he learns at church. Love it!

Handles bullying effectively: Agree

The teachers, counselor, parents and students are all involved in providing a safe environment for the students.

Effective school leaders: Agree

The school seems to know why it exists and where it's going. It's a parent run school, which makes me feel like I have a voice.
