Our twin girls have gone to school at SCS since they were in the 5th grade. They are now in the 7th grade and we have nothing but good to say about this school. The quality of the teachers, principal and the students is excellent. The atmosphere is peaceful and any issues are dealt with quickly, fairly and effectively. I would not hesitate to recommend SCS to anyone. By the way, this school now goes through the 12th grade and there are over 200 students in the school. They also have more sports programs which are available and activities for the students are growing yearly

This school is AMAZING. I have nothing but good memories from the 10 years I spent there (pre-k to 8th). I would have loved to continue through high school there, however I was one year shy of their new addition of grades 9-12. All of the teachers (most of which still are teaching there) were so loving and truly inspiring in mine and all of my school friend's lives. Shorewood Christian is full of real, genuine Christian people, both teachers and families. It is crystal clear that all of the teachers set their first priority is to live a Christ like life fallowing Jesus and to share it with their students, and they make sure to share the love of Christ in a non-"religious" way. Plus, they have an amazing teaching curriculum and teachers who are great with making learning both fun and high quality. This school has education that you cannot put a price on because it is that amazing!

As a parent of former students (7 years) I can't say enough about the quality of education and the Christian character of the teachers and administration. It is a loving, nurturing environment for your children with excellent acedemic standards; character developement and spiritual growth as priorities. We were treated respectfully when consulted about our children and we really felt as though we were partnering with the school in the kids education and growth. I am enthusiastic about this school and all that it represents.

Solid academics, biblically-centered curriculum and environment, friendly and welcoming people and a family atmosphere. Our kids were at Shorewood for 4 years and we have nothing but great things to say about our experience with this school, particularly for younger kids. Activities are somewhat limited for older (middle-school) age kids.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
