Olympic Middle School

OMS is blessed with some outstanding teachers. Under the guidance of one of our district's most effective principals, this school really does a middle school model. Kids aren't allowed to fall through the cracks, high expectations are visible everywhere, and everyone works hard. I really appreciate those sainted souls who like working with this age group - it's not easy.

the teachers know nothing about their students and when parents want to volunteer at school they are never called back . the parents want to be involved but the school wont accept parents as volunteers. the teachers dont recognize students with high ability levels they ignore them and only work with the students that nees help

Its a great school alot of rules though. They keep kids inline without to much trouble. Great teachers the best ive ever seen.

This school is very good on it's education. And I think all these kids (including me) will be able to do anything they want because of their great teaching at this school. Go OMS!!!

This school has made a great effort to update and improve it's curriculum and delivery. The schedule has been changed to allow a longer time in the primary academic subjects and built an academy program to match the needs of its various learners. The teachers are working in Professional Learning Communities to support each other and each learner that walks into our building. Lots of work to do yet but we've accomplished a lot!
