I have had no trouble with this school. My daughter has been there for two years and I can't tell you enough how great the teachers have been. When I had concerns they were there to tell me excatly what was going on they always had time for me.

Logan Elementary is a great school with wonderful teachers. They offer wonderful educational programs for any child that needs a little extra help to get up to where they need to be. The school also offers alot of after school programs as well as sports for your child to be involved in. They have a bingo with grandma night where you can win books; that is alot of fun! They put on alot of concerts, plays, and even a talent show. Parents love to volunteer at Logan because of the wonderful teachers and its just a great all around school! And, the office ladies are some of the nicest ladies anyone could be around!

I think that Logan meets all of the academic programs that our children need. The teachers are wonderful, they put a lot of extra time in each day to prepare for our children. The Music program is great. They also have afterschool programs that the kids can participate in. The Leap parent group, holds several events that involve parents, kids, and staff. It would be nice to have more parent involvement in these events. Overall, Logan is a great school to send your child.

My 2nd grader has been at Logan since Kindergarden, and he has had three wonderfull teachers. As a child who is consistantly working at advanced levels, his teachers have been wonderfull at keeping him chalenged and working at his personal levels rather than an over-all grade level. In my experience the staff and the teachers are all great. The LEAP program isn't the best I've seen, I think it really just needs some friendly and fun leaders and it could possably turn into a good program. As with all District 81 elementary schools, I am fairly discouraged that there are no longer after school sports. However, if you are placing your child in an 81 school, Logan is a good one, They are among the top 4 schools in reading and math. Too bad its not in a better neighborhood, we will miss the school and staff.

My son is in the 3rd grade and has been a student at Logan elementary since kindergarten. I would like to see more parent involvement in the classroom. I have been a voluntee for over 3 years and this is the first year I cannot be involved in his classroom. I am also very disappointed with the new principal. When I am in the school she never evens says hello to me or my son. She seems very cold and standoffish. I loved the past principal and miss her very much. My son has loved this school.

My daughter has attended Logan Elementary from 1st to 6th grade. The teachers are very caring and the teaching of kindness to others, no bullying etc. makes Logan feel like a safe place to be. The music class has had it's ups and downs, but has always turned out a good performance. A new principal this year has been a dissapointment for many. The children loved the fun interaction of the former principal. The new principal seems more interested in changing things to be her way. She cut out Student of the Week awards but because of opposition had to bring it back. Family events such as Bingo were always a fun time. We thank the teachers at Logan for the knowledge they gave to our daughter and their dedication toward the children. Our daughter attended 3 other schools and Logan is the school of our choice. Friendly Atmosphere!

I have had problems with Teacher's attitude and willingness to involve parents in their childs education. The basic programs this school offer seem to be adequate for my son's education. Music, art, and sports seem to be offered at a very basic level. There are few parents involved in their children's school performance, but those who are do an excellent job.
