This school has by far been then best school I've ever been to, with low amount of students, great teachers, college plan helpers, and great programs... Not only that they have an all new school (remodeled in 2006.. or so). They have the best fun too! GO EAGLES!

City School is a project based program that inspires students to independent learning and thinking. City School encourages independent thinking by having students write opinion papers on different subjects. They are expected to defend their point of view with facts and figures. Students are encouraged to be responsible citizens by applying for and holding different jobs during tthe school year. Their salary is in the form of City School scrip. They are expected to pay tuition and other expenses from their salaries. Students are also taught an appreciation for their environment by visiting diferent natural areas during the school year. As 8th graders they go to Orcas Island where they are taught about the balance of our oceans. Helping others is also emphasized at City School. They have participated in various community projects such as cleaning up our river, helping at the local food bank, and doing yard work for their neighbors. Student who attend City School learn to be better citizens, how to apply for and hold a job, and how to interact with adults. It is an excellent place to learn.

I believe that west valley is a great school for anyone. Its low population bring students into a one on one relationship with there teachers. The one of the problems is that there is not enough parent involvement. Yes their very dedicated parents out there but not enough to go around. But all in all in the end I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else.
