My child feels very comfortable and safe here. He feels as if he owns the school when he walks around the halls. Everyone knows who everyone else is which is a great thing for this age. I wish they were more updated with their technology, but it is a far better experience than I expected for such a small town. I do worry about him being challenged enough, a lot of the students came into Kindergarten without basic knowledge and time has to be spent catching them up. Overall a good experience and I would feel good with him staying in this school district for the early years, but I don't imagine we will stay around for his later years.

this school district has a good special education program, teacher, classroom and aids. Overall my experience with this school district is better then the last one I come from. All in all you have to be on top of things all the time so check in once in a while

There are a lot of things to like about Parkside, including the quality of instruction for young children (the school extends to second grade only), the supportiveness of the staff, and relatively small student-teacher ratios. There is good preparation for testing in later grades. My kids have been happy there, and my older child reads well above grade level. The emphasis in helping kids develop the basics is clear. Low student-teacher ratios are really important, and who knows how long they can keep the class populations low. But for now they are good.

Student-teacher ratio is excellent. Parkside has a very committed staff. The level of instruction presented to my daughter in kindergarten is excellent. Community focus on schools, particularly in the elementary grades, is excellent. The quality of the school is suprising to me, given the relatively poor socio-economic conditions of the community. People take great pride in the small town feel of the community.

Parkside Elemetary is a great school. The teachers & principal are very dedicated to the students. The only complaint I have is that the school district it's self needs to hire more school nurses, instead of having one nurse for four schools ( Parkside Elementary, Tenino Elemetary, Tenino Middle, and Tenino High school). Which as a parent I do not think is reasonable. I think it is a major safety issue.
