This is our first year at Cornerstone Christian School and we are very happy! Teachers have been wonderful, administration has been easy to work with, the kids love the principal, there is strong parent involvement and my kids love the special classes such as computer, art, music, pe, etc. All and all we are very pleased.

Our family has had a wonderful start to a brand new school year at Cornerstone! Our kids love their teachers and already feel comfortable in their new settings. Thank you to our new superintendent and elementary principle for making us feel confident about our decision to choose Cornerstone.

Our daughter has attended three Christian schools. Our experiences at Centralia Christian and Portland Christian were overwhelmingly awesome, our brief exposure to Cornerstone delivered immeasurable grief and heartache for our child and my family. We were very disappointed in the administration s responses to bullying, theft, and disparate treatment between the teachers children and the rest of the kids. Every time we brought these things to staff's attention the problem escalated. Maybe it's a great school for those families who never experience problems requiring administrative intervention but the philosophy at that level sure wasn't working for our family.

My wife and I chose to send our 6 year-old daughter to Cornerstone. We found the school s philosophy to be very legalistic and rigid, and administrative staff to be idealess managers instead of age-appropriate, encouraging leaders. For example, on two occasions our daughter came home with a barrette that belonged to somebody else and a rock. In both cases, the principal accused her of stealing and moved to expel her. I had to reach out to the school s superintendent twice before finally throwing in the towel and moving our daughter to Portland Christian mid-year. Then the principal promised us a prorated refund within a week. In the second week it took three phone calls and two emails to finally secure it. In the end, we concluded that the principal was more interested in being right than he was in actually helping solve the problems we brought to his attention

Cornerstone is a really great school. My daughter began in the pre-k class in early education and is now in kindergarten. She absolutely loves it. The teachers are excellent and have great communication. My daughter has grown so much academically and socially and I couldn't imagine her going to school anywhere else!

We have been attending Cornerstone for 3 years now... and are extremely happy! The emphasis on the Lord is what will bring us back year after year. Our 3rd grader is happy and doing well academically... but more importantly our 6th grader is experiencing a safe, fun, and Godly Middle School! I could not imagine sending either child anywhere else!

We love Cornerstone! After being here for 3 years, my kids have had nothing but spectacular teachers. They care about my kids and desire for them to be brought up to know the Lord as well as grow academically. My kids are allowed to reach beyond "the norm," so they can continue to be stretched, which is very important to me. After very poor experiences in the public school system, I would heartily recommend Cornerstone to any family!

We've had nothing but trouble with this school. My daughter's 1st grade class was reviewing Kindergarten work for the first 2 1/2 months. She was very bored and unchallenged. When I complained, I was told some of the other kids needed the refresher and my daughter would just have to "deal with it". We experienced many more problems that we had hoped to avoid by not enrolling in a public school. Very poor teacher relations and even worse with the principal. He seemed more interested in us not taking up his time then working with us. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

We chose Cornerstone Christian Preschool for our 4 year old after looking at several preschool/daycare's in the area. We have had nothing but a great experience. They have a great program, incorporating a structured learning environment, hands on opportunities, loving staff, and although we are not the typical church going family, the religious aspect is perfect for him, teaching him both about religion and compassion and kindness. He is extremely energetic, and is bright and very charismatic, we trully have found the perfect match for him. The teaching staff is extremely patient, they are safe and provide wonderful instruction. He started not being able to recognize letters or numbers and within a month, he is writing his name, and his letter and number recognition is astounding. We are very happy with Cornerstone.

This will be our third year at Cornerstone. We chose this school with great promise that our daughter who is above average would be challenged. During the Kindergarden year the school brought in an excelerated program that allowed the children to work at their own pace, while at the same time allowing the teachers to see were each child was individually. Many parents were very excited and happy with the program. The next year the program was gone. Since then there has been nothing challenging those who need to be challenged. Leaving quite a few children bored. This is not what we were promised and not what we expect from a private school. We love the staff and dont wish to pull our daughter away from an excellent christian based school. However, she or any other child should not be held back due to poor academic programs.
