"You know what is great about my new school mommy? Well, EVERY school has at least one bully... except Cascadia! Everyone is really nice and works together." ~My 8 year old daughter My daughter struggled in a traditional school setting because she was bored. She struggled with arguing at home because she craved independence. Cascadia has helped with both. The Montessori method allows for her to have flexibility in learning subjects, level, and time on task. This not only provides for just the right challenge, it also gives an outlet for her to be independent and feel responsible. Probably my favorite thing is pick up time. When I ask her what she learned she can actually answer, and always does so with a smile on her face and excitement in her voice. Cascadia taught my daughter to love learning again.

Our family was looking for a alternative to the standard public school experience. Public school for us wasn't to our liking for tons of reasons and then we found Cascadia! In a nutshell our family is blown away by the overall atmosphere. Our son is learning and smiling everyday now, it's amazing what a difference it has made in our lives. The individual attention is wonderful, the child centered approach and teaching them one on one. The classrooms are beautiful and they really take the time to get to know each child and what they need. I wouldn't go anywhere else ever. It's amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. There is nothing that compares and we are so grateful.

My daughter has gone to school here since 1st grade and I absolutely would not put her in another school. Every day she is excited to get up and go to school. It is exciting also to see how the montessori education style has allowed her to keep increasing her skills in math beyond her grade level. I am overjoyed as a parent at the self-confidence she has achieved and her teacher is amazing. This has to be the best elementary school in Clark County.

Cascadia Montessori is a school where children are developed emotionally and academically. They are provided a warm and safe community, personal academic attention and the best teachers a parent could wish for. My 6 year old is constantly bringing home his class work that would be typical for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. He is so excited about learning and inspired to seek more. We came from another private school where my child was constantly bored, unchallenged in school and his emotionally needs were completely ignored. The upper elementary and middle school children are so smart, creative, inclusive and kind to all of the children. Every child here is respected and honored. I am so encouraged to know that my child will be able a part of this environment in years to come. A true gift!

Cascadia Montessori is a true educational experience! I am continually amazed at not only my son's love for going to school, but basically every child's that I see walk into the building each morning. The children greet each other as if they were all one big family. The mixed grade levels (1st-3rd, 4th-6th, and 7th-8th) foster a true sense of empowerment as the children mentor each other. My son loves the opportunities to work in small groups and to present information to his class. I've seen his ability to convey information with confidence and thoughtfulness grow immensely. I've also witnessed this true love for learning and respect for one another all over the school during my volunteer times. Cascadia Montessori has exceeded my expectations in all aspects: educational challenges, teacher commitment and follow-up, parental support, and administrative response. I am looking forward to many more years at Cascadia!

My children thrived at Cascadia. They were allowed to follow their interests and develop both socially and academically. They learned responsibilty, respect and leadership which allows them to become great citizens of the world! The Montessori approach allowed my children to become who they were becoming opposed to conforming to a group mentality during the middle school years. Now, they are awesome high schoolers!

My kid loves going to school and has blossomed into a motivated and independent reader. Montessori is about letting the child's natural loving of learning leaad the way with specific guidelines and restrictions. Earlier, my son was behind in reading, but a science and math whiz. It has been great that he could take his time (i.e., be behind) in some areas and still excel in the others based on his own development, with the teacher knowing that he will catch up. Teacher Tami is an amazing resource and very available. This school is the best kept secret in Southwest Washington!

We finally found the place where our children belong! A place where inquiry, activity, and team work are valued. The teachers are excellent and enthusiastic. The administration is responsive and reliable. The families are a community. Our children are able to learn in an environment that is academically strong and developmentally appropriate. Thank you Cascadia!

Cascadia provides stellar academics in a nurturing community setting. The students are inspired and supported in active learning that crosses the spectrum. Structured lessons are enhanced by the child's natural enthusiasm to pursue their interests using independent research. Communication with faculty and administration is ongoing and the staff is exceedingly approachable. If having every teacher double certified wasn't enough peace of mind, the test scores support the results attained by engaging the learners successfully. After school activities and summer camps are offered for further enrichment in music, science art, etc. The field trips are unparalleled in advancing the cultural and intellectual development of students in all age groups. I recommend it without reservation. We are already looking forward to next year!

Superior admin and faculty. A GREAT learning environment for any 'achiever'. Would wholeheartedly recommend this school to any family that cares for their child's academic life.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
