East Ridge Elementary has been a wonderful experience for my son in both Kindergarten and now 1st grade. His teachers for both grades have been encouraging and have challenged him to do his best. The school offers a variety of fun, educational and creative after school school activities. The principal is an excellent example of kindness, strength, intellect and friendliness. Parental involvement is exceptional. One parent in his K class took pictures of every event of just the K children, their parents and teacher and put the slide show to music on a CD. She then gave each child a copy as a gift. The school environment is inviting and safe.

My children went to this school a few years ago. They experienced a fabulous education where they were challenged to work to the best of their ability. Their teachers knew them well, knew what they were able to do and just how to push them to the next level. They have all gone on to other educational settings with great success.

It's heartening to have your son in a school where the teachers and principal take such individual interest in him. Every person I have had dealings with here -- from the speech therapist, nurse and office staff, to the Principal and the teachers -- have been professional and caring. I'm very happy that my son has had the opportunity to attend this school.
