Technically, I'm no longer a student at YACS, but I was a student there for 8 years (3rd through 10th grades), and it was the best 8 years of my life. I owe who I am to the amazing faculty and staff at Yakima Adventist Christian School. I home-schooled my last two years of high school, and during that time I also worked at YACS as the assistant librarian. When I have kids of my own someday, they will most certainly go to YACS. I wouldn't want it any other way.

YACS is a great school with high academic standards. 6 out of the 8 teachers were on the Who's Who of American Teachers 2006. The music program is superb including advanced and beginning band, choir and a select choir. Technology is continually updated and available in each classroom. I like the hands-on aspect of the classes too. Teachers get the students involved with each subject. My oldest two students completed the program and were accepted into the Running Start program, completing 11 and 12 grade at Yakima Valley Community College and going on to CWU. The Christian love and concern of each of the teachers has been great, encouraging my students as well as me. I highly recommend this school to other families who feel that developing a relationship with Jesus, the Bible, music as well as academics need to be part of their student's education.
