My daughter is in kindergarten this year and I was petrified at the thought of putting her into someone else's hands. Her teacher and aide have been wonderful! Within the first few days, I was comfortable that my daughter was safe and in a nurturing learning environment. I think the educational program is terrific. Also, the principal is so involved with the kids. My daughter was so excited one afternoon to tell us that he had sat with her and her friends at lunch! I am so glad that my daughter is at Valley!
the teachers are great they go all out to help the students get the best education .the principle is very involved in the everyday running of the school and the students my daughter says he visit her class everyday to say hi and knows all their names the pta is also very involved in the school
Among the schools in the county, Valley is among the top when selection is limited. The teachers/staff are friendly yes, and most are conserned about childrens performance. But the school system is limited; financially, educationaly, accademically and professionalism. Basically, you work with what you have, and do the best you can...that's where Valley fits in.
This school is very up to date considering the area, I feel that my daughter is going to get the best education possible. The staff and teachers are friendly and courteous, I think they actually care whether or not our children really learn.
My daughter attended a different elementary school within Preston County for k-2. The difference in the level of teacher dedication, approachability, encouragement for parental involvement, staff teamwork on all levels, and general positive atmosphere at VES was a welcome and wonderful change. I commend the teachers and staff at Valley and thank them for the best years thus far of my child's education.
This is a great academic school but highly lacks in letting parents get involved with their childs interactions. This is the most non-parent friendly school that I have ever been involved with.
I found the principal at Valley Elementary unconcerned about upholding the student's attendance policy and about the concerns of the parents. The principal was contacted three times and the student's teacher was contacted 4 times. The result was not return calls and the school would not schedule a conference to discuss our concerns.
Valley is an awsome school. The teachers are so nice and cool. One teacher is really mean though. The school is just great. I love it!
