This is a hidden gem in Southern West Virginia. I had never heard of this school, and they do not widely advertise. It is not for everyone- but if you are serious about your walk with God, and want your children to be saved, have a strong Christian-based education, and strong discipline- send your child here. I cannot imagine a place where your child would get more individual attention- small teacher to student ratio, and ultimately peace of mind as a parent. They use the Abeka curriculum, which is tried and true. As in any school, you need to supplement what your children learn. I love that the teachers are accessible, as is the principle. I wish they had more extracurricular activities, but those that they do have are well developed. My children love school, and look forward to chapel every Wednesday, as well as learning their Bible verses. Because the teachers are loving and have a heart for Jesus, my kids look forward to going to class and want to please their teachers. I know The Lord is using the teachers at VBA. I thank God for them.
no. this school is terrible. no one is treated fairly. it's only good if you start in kindergarten and go all the way through. if you are a new student you either need to be annoying like the rest of them, or known them before coming. i've been there since 7th grade and out of the 20 high school students, i'm friends with 4 of them.
If you are looking for a great Christian oriented place to educate your children, look no further. Victory Baptist Academy is the best. They have a very qualified staff that cares about your children's mind as well as his/her soul. The curriculum is excellent and based on the true Word of God. If you take the time to check it out, I'm sure you'll love it!!
