Mt. Vernon is a wonderful school with enthusiastic teachers and a great principal. This school far exceeds any of the other elementary schools in the area! We bus our child out of her regular school zone to attend Mt. Vernon because we think so highly of the principal and teachers at this school!

I have a Granddaughter attending Mount Vernon Elementary and she has went there the last 4 years. I am so sad to see her have to go to Philippi Middle School next year. Mt. Vernon is a wonderful school the teachers and Principal are top notch and she get so much one on one. Purchasing my home in the district aallowing her to go to Mount Vernon is one of my greatest accomplishments.

I have a child at Mt. Vernon and I absolutely love it. The principal is wonderful and truly loves and cares about each one of the children. The teachers are outstanding and the staff is warm and friendly. They do a wonderful job with after school activities and there is a great deal of one on one attention for the children.
