I currently have 2 children enrolled in CBE, one in 2nd grade the other in Kindergarten. 1st grade was a great success. Mrs. Hayden is a wonderful and caring teacher, who always puts her students needs first. She works late to meet with parents and goes out of her way to make each student feel special while still running a first rate academic program. My main problem with this school is its lack of security. The end of the school day is complete chaos. Parents are supposed to sign a dismissal book before taking their child home, however there is no one in charge, checking to be sure that each child is going home with their parent. At the end of the day, anyone can walk in off the street and have complete access to anywhere in the school. Also, the academic program is behind compared to other schools in VA, and NJ.
