I think the school is great, I think they need more parents to help out. There is some parents that do help out. Then there is some that dont get thanked for what they do down there.the academic programs are good, they help my children out alot.

Bonham Elementary is one of the best elementary schools in Kanawha County. This school has been through a lot the past few years, with flooding. My grandson went there from headstart until the fifth grade.Even with all this the teachers and principal are some of the most caring people when it comes to children. The parents on the other hand need to support the school more.Volunteering is one of the best thing you can do for your school and your child.Myself,I volunteered at Bonham for seven years and enjoyed every minute of it.By The Way My Grandson Finished There With A 4.0 Grade Average.

This is a great school, I went there as a child, & now my children attend this school. There have been great things done with the school, however they need a new principal. They need one who is kind and loving to the children, like their parents or grandparents, instead of being like an overbearing pretentious comander. When being in charge of children, you have to get down to their level, and the principal at this school does NOT. He also needs to remember that this school doesn't belong to him, it belongs to the surrounding community, & the students, & parents of students who attend this school.

Great teachers, great administration. The only fault that I give this school is that the first grade classrooms are not seperated by a wall. The only seperation that the two classes has is a wall of filing cabinets. The teachers can not keep the students focused and they can not teach the proper lessons the way they should be taught because the two classes have no privacy. The two classes have to plan the read aloud time at the same time one teacher reads the story to both classes because it would be too loud because of the lack of the wall. The board of education needs to have this fixed immediatley.
