My daughter is a first grade student at Glenwood, and was tested for the gifted program. She scored in the 95 percentile range in the nation. My child is hearing impaired and one of the brightest shining stars of the class. She also has a great teacher this year, Ms. Mullins. The only thing that we don't like about Glenwood is that there is no bus transportation for students. But, that is not the schools fault, that falls on the board of eduacation. It is sad to see little children walking to school in the rain and snow. That needs to change.

I know that my two caucasion children absolutely love this school. My son was reading at a .90 level in the first grade and they helped him so much he jumped to a 2.2 level within a few months. His speech improved as well. And my third grade daughter is reading at a fifth-sixth grade level. This is definitely a school of learning. Probably the only thing that they could improve on is the availability of lunch menus. The teachers and staff are wonderful. Ms. Godfrey, Ms. Settle and Ms. Reynolds are the best!
