Flemington Elementary is the highest performing grade school in Taylor County, WV and possibly the regional area. What a blessing that our child, while not the highest performer in her class, does have the opportunity to attend and be taught by extraordinary, dedicated teachers. As with all schools, there are problems, but at Flemington ES, the staff sincerely cares about all issues concerning children, and exhibit that caring, in the actions our teachers show in accepting their responsibilities. As a parent and PTO member, I'm happy that our school is such a well kept secret from the Grafton Community & Taylor West, or the school would be overrun with many more students transferring in from the outer areas. Thanks FES staff, from proud parents of a Flemington ES student!

Flemington Elementary is a wonderful school. The teachers seem to be very caring and do what is best for the kids. Flemington Elementary is a community based school, and is very important to its community. This year has brought about a great change in staff, but nevertheless, it will survive. Many say this school is 'doomed' to close, but maybe they should look at continued high test scores and 'major' accomplishments of this small school. Flemington Elementary is truly West Virginia's best kept secret!

I don't think that this school is all that everyone thinks it is.For one they could use alot more help with kids who have add.I think they are so cared away with being a exmplary school that they have forgotten about the children who aren't as quick to learn as the others. If you haven't been in this school since kindergarden you won't be able to keep up... I also think they need more fourth grade teachers to choose from.and also need to learn more about kids with ADD and their special needs.

FES is West Virginia's best kept secret. It has been chosen as an 'Exemplary School' in 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 school year. It was chosen as a 'Title I Distinguished School' in 2003-2004 school year. It is a school where we expect the extraordinary is the ordinary! Parent and Community involvement are unsurpassed. Parent Night brings out 90% of the parents for the event. The teachers are what make this school extraordinary. They are committed and love the work that they do with the children.
