I love Harpers Ferry Middle School. They have a great administration and Mr. Spurgas is wonderful with the students. All the teachers are really involved with the students and their progress. My son had Mrs. Vandell, Mrs. Welsh, Mrs. Lamp, Ms. Barnes, and Mrs. O'Connor and just loved their classes. These are some of the top notch teachers at this school. He really learned alot in their classes. If your looking for a great school in Jefferson County ,HFMS is the one for you!!

Excellent learning environment. Principal is top notch and very concerned with students progress and learning. Sports programs are well done. Much better environment than that at CTMS.

This is a great school! It is not too crowded and it is not to empty. Almost all of the teachers are very nice and have a wonderful principal! This school doesn't have as many fights as other middle schools and that is good too! The sports teams are great too! If you are looking for a good school then this one is it!

I think that this school is the best school ever. I dont like the principle but other wise I think it is the greatest school yet. Most of the schools are junk but this one isn't. it has the greatest food and there are a lot of nice teachers. But there can be some bad things about it too. It is kind of dirty and there are was to many fights in the school. As a matter of fact my daughter just got in one. I also don't like the fact that you extend their suspention if something happened last year. It is not fair to the kids and it's not fair to the parents because they have to miss work just to stay home with their children. The teachers should just give them I.S.S instead of kicking them out for a couple of days. I don't like this school!
