Both my children attended this school and had a good experience. Unfortunately, it is a different school than it was just a few years ago. It has become extremely overcrowded and some of the staff which had been there for over 10 years as a tight knit group have been leaving. The school does hire a lot of first year teachers right of college. Sometimes this is good; sometimes not so good. Check with other parents and request the better teachers.
If your child has above average intelligence, find a different school. We had a 3rd grader who was completely bored and the school showed no interest in moving him into a more challenging curriculum. In fact, his teacher quit allowing him to take part in academic contests and also quit calling on him to answer questions in class. He heard all about the teacher's divorce one day, not to mention a laundry list of other antics he experienced in there. One year was all it took. We pulled him out and made sure none of our other children went there. Ugh. Miserable.
We've had a great third grade experience overall. It's a different environment than the elementary school with not as much parent involvement, but the staff seems to geniunely care about the students.
Great teachers in 3rd grade. Wait and see in 4th. Staff seems commeted to the students.
