Handles bullying effectively: Strongly disagree

- a
Bullying is really bad in Paw Paw HS. The school staff is just as guilty as the students, saying snide comments to students that are very hateful. The on-line reporting system only works if school staff address the reports, unfortunately most are conveniently lost...and never acted on.

Supports LD students: Strongly disagree

- a
Paw Paw does not have the resources and funding to address all students learning differences.

Effective school leaders: Strongly disagree

- a
Leadership just tries to sweep problems under a rug. They are part of the problem. Favoritism is a daily occurance and a way of life especially for student athletes.

Develops character: Strongly disagree

- a
Student bullying is rampant. Kids are very unfriendly and gang up.

- a
Bullying here is terrible and school administration is totally ineffective handling it.

The administration does not care what is in the best interest for the students. Also, they are very unprofessional when it comes to helping the needs of students. They sit around and talk about their personal lives and make the student wait to get tended to. The guidance counselor never knows what she is doing and only pushes students out of there to make herself look good. Also, the students whose parents work there are favored and get pampered. For example, they are able to leave class to go get food. These students do not get penalized for what they do. However, the staff (teachers) are the ones who seem to care about what is in the best interest for the students. It seems as if they know what they are doing over the guidance counselor. The teachers there know their students on a personal level and only wants what is best for them. For example, they are the reason the students take their ACT the year they are supposed to and make sure that they get that done in time to get to colleges their senior year. They also make sure that we have an early start on applying to colleges and getting accepted as soon as possible. If Paw Paw did not have such great teachers, these students would never get anything done. With that being said, the administration only cares about how they look to the state and the staff looks out for the students. This has been an ongoing problem for years, and as long as the same people are in charge, nothing will change.
