Im in the 8th grade now and our school has its ups and downs but our school is the best middle school in WV cuzz we learn have fun and we have our sports here at wayne and thats wast makes it so special....... and the teachers try so hard here

This will be my first year at Wayne Middle, and I don't know what to think of it. I hear good things, yet others say otherwise, and i am confused. I read things about teachers who don't care, and so far, that scares me the most!

I'm an 8th grade student here at Wayne Middle School. I've seen alot of bad reviews here that only talk about the negatives. Yes, our school is a little lax on some of their rules, but the education I got here was awesome. I'm actually sad about leaving this year. The teachers themseves are great. They'll respect you as long as you respect them. I give it a 4/5

I am a student at WMS and i hate it here. About 98% of the teachers ignore it when there are kids picking on others. (I'm normally the one getting picked on) I did nothing to these kids. And for some reason they picked me out of everyone to pick on the most. The administration is 'ok'. But they don't enforce the rules they put up half the time. And when i get picked on and go to the administration about it all they do is tell me to ignore it. Then I of course ignore it for a while. Then i just can't take it and i defend myself and i normally get in more trouble than the other person. Which doesn't make sense to me.

Wayne middle school is the best school I have ever been to. I think that the teachers put their hearts and souls into helping us children learn.

I wish this school cared a little more. The kids seem to run the school and discipline is a joke. The kids seem to make the rules. In defense of the pricipal, Mr. Perry he done the best of anyone in the last two years and I think if they would keep one principal for a while it would help. There are some teachers that care but for the most part they are just there. My family is thinking of moving to another state so our kids can get a better education and have a better more rounded school experience.

I am not suprised there are no other reviews of this school. I[t] is the worst school I have ever had to deal with. The teachers are there for the paycheck and not the students. They give these kids no goals or encouragement. My child's schedule was changed 5 times in the first 3 weeks of school and the report card is never there. My childs always has to spend classtime in the office waiting for someone to give the report card! If a parent walks into the office, they are ignored. Phone calls are not returned. The students are under-disciplined in regards to fighting and over-disciplined for minor infractions. It's hard for parents to participate in their child's educ[a]tion at this school.
