My school is a place where kids are valued. Teachers work to ensure all kids learn on their own level. Kids are safe, well-fed, and engaged in their own education.

I am a parent of a Kindergartener in this School. The Staff are excellent with the students. The students enjoy learning at this school, and are equally rewarded and supported for their good work. I have watched this school grow and change over the last sixteen years that I have lived in this area. I watched my nieces, nephews, neighbors kids all go through this school, each year they provided new learning experiences for the students.

the principal needs more education on how to deal with difficult dituations and to talk to the parents better. As for some of the teachers thye sont seem to want to take the time with parents to help out thier child.

West Hamlin Elementary has come a long way. The new principal has turned it around, he is so courteous to the parents and my kids just love him. He takes the time to talk to parents and the students and that is what makes it successful.

I have worked in every school in lincoln county. I would rate west hamlin elementary as the best. The staff goes above and beyond to teach the children. Parent involvement is excellent!! A wonderful school.

Most teachers at West Hamlin Elementary are good, caring teachers. However, there are a couple of teachers who do not care about their students at all. I would however like to commend teachers such as Chris Burns, who has made my son once again love going to school.

My experience with this school has been positive. Everyone has always been very helpful, the entire staff has guided my child in the right direction. I truely appreciate the time the teachers and principal, vice principal, put into these children.

West Hamlin needs work. Teachers need to have more education to do a efficent job. Principal does not interact with children correctly. Web- site has misspelled words such as 'Kindergartnen' for Kindergarden. School also has ongoing mold issues. School has no security program at all. Test scores need to be improved. Teachers must be held responsible. Overall, it is not a 21st century school.

Would be a much better school with a new principal! I feel from my experience with the current principal that he is too hard on the children and the parents. He is also rude with the parents and does not encourage them to participate in their children's school enviroment. Discipline the bad ones and reward the good ones. Don't make all the kids pay for what the bad ones do. And let them be kids while they still can. They grow up too fast as it is.
