Just walk through the halls of Badger and you will see and hear excitement, learning and true caring about students and community. The staff works so hard to give every student the supports they need to be successful, to bring innovative programming into the school, and to show genuine love and concern for every single person (student and community member) who walks through the door. Badger is a very special place to be. Come and check it out- you won't be sorry!

One of the most "student focused" schools in the entire Fox Valley. The staff is highly motivated and they implement the newest strategies in teaching to reach and expand the comprehension levels of all students. Badger's academic programs, extra curricular activities, and parent involvement is incredibly impressive. I'm very proud to be a Badger Bulldog!

Badger Elementry has received a new principal again this year and as the trends have proved, the quality keeps getting better! The principal is involved and makes a point to get to know both students and parents. The small class sizes allow for excellent one on one attention and the teachers have a passion for their students success and growth. Many comments have been made by the new principal on how impressed with the degree of caring that is displayed by the staff. Badger is also a smaller school, so you have the opportunity to get to know all of the staff members as well as many parents of the students!

We have found this school to be wonderful. We also had our doubts from what we've heard in the past. The principal is the best. He listens. He is a friend, a mentor, and a leader. The teachers have helped us find our child's strengths and promote her to a higher level. The school is deversified and offers a great summer school program as well.

Badger is an awesome school!!! My son who has had behavior & learning problems through 1st -5th grade excelled beyond belief. They way the staff & especially the young hip principal :) deals with the children is above & beyond.

I have had children at Badger for the past 13 years. I could not disagree more with the comments from the parent of September 2004. The principal has brought a level of discipline and respect that in prior years, had been lacking in the school. Children are all treated with a high level of respect. The principal and teachers have high expectations for their students. The door is always open to parents, the communication between home and school is the best I have ever seen in any of the schools my children attended. The principal at Badger, in my opinion, is the best thing that could happen to any school!

My child attends this school and I couldn't disagree more with the negative parent review from September 2004. Students are welcomed into a caring, nurturing environment by the principal as well as the rest of the staff. Class sizes are reduced in K-3 due to the benefits of SAGE not because of unhappy parents pulling their children. In my contacts with the principal, I have found a caring, hard-working person who has set high expectations for his staff and is unbeatable in his concern for students and their success! It is unfortunate that this forum can be used to declare a personal-and in this case-unfounded-attack on an individual. Wisconsin does have Great Schools and Badger Elementary in Appleton is one of them!

Badgers biggest problem is the principal. Parents beware. I, as well as numerous other parents have had to pull students from this school. Low self-esteem, hate school, absolute no wonderment or enjoyment of learning occurs within these walls.

  • The staff of Badger are all committed to creating a caring educational culture in which each student's academic and social success is paramount. Badger is a SAGE school in grades K-3, so class sizes are capped at a maximum of 18 and are generally in the range of 14 - 16 students per teacher.
