Barneveld is a small school which is surrounded by a great community. Teachers are top notch and care about each students education. The uniqueness of Barneveld Schools housing K-12 in one building allows for great interaction for each student creating a safe family type atmosphere. The High School students are given the opportunity to be in a mentorship program to assist struggling elementary students which has a very positive affect motivating these students to give great effort as well as doing quality work. I highly recommend Barneveld Schools for anyone who enjoys being active as parent activity is highly encouraged.

The WSAS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Wisconsin. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level. In private schools, only voucher program participants are tested.

Beginning in the 2012-2013 school year, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction implemented new definitions of what it means to be proficient on the WSAS test. As a result of these changes, proficiency scores for Wisconsin schools are lower than they were in previous years.
