I graduated from CHS last year and I can say my experince could and should have been better. Most of the teachers were nice, but some were anything but, Unfortunatly CHS is not good a preparing you for the outside world depending on what classes you take and who you have because CHS has rather "Interesting" teachers. It's a nutshell they make all these promises and gurentes that you can vist any time and every thing will be alright, BUT the basically abandon you right after graduation, Some go teach to another school and you never see them again, If your a student at CHS and nervous about graduating and leaving, Good luck finding support cause they are any thing but helpful.
CHS is a terrific school. Academically, it is one of the top high schools in the state, its athletic teams are competitive across the board, and the school is truly part of the city. Its ties to the community are more like what you'd find in a small town, certainly not like most other suburbs - and it is within walking or biking distance for most students.
it's a great school if you fit the cookie cutter idea of what a student should be, completely unwilling to help those who need different learning styles. they blame it all on the student with out doing their part to try and help the student succeed
