Our children have attended this school beginning with the 4yr old preschool program. The faculty and supporting staff provide an wonderful learning environment and great results! The graduates of Our Lady of Lourdes graduates are very successful at area high schools in which they attend, with a 80+% of students on the High School honor rolls . The students are prepared academically with an interest in giving back to their community, which is in the events in which they participate and awards they receive. The school continues to enhance the school with additional technology throughout the school, a dedicated resource teacher, enhancements to curriculum and the use of the MAPS testing. The music program has grown significantly with performances throughtout the school year. Our choice to enroll our students at this school has rewarding for our children and provides us great satisfaction with their continued success.
Lourdes is a wonderful culture of families, staff and parish. Based on long standing of tradition of values, there is a healthy balance between academics, extracurricular and spiritual. Expectations are clear and consistant and the staff want to see everyone succeed. It is wonderful for a familiy to join and feel a hero's welcome - that is how warm and inviting things are there - Love it!!!
The school has good teachers and an okay learning problem but the bulling is very bad and the teachers dont' seem to notice. I wish they would pay more attention to the student bully problem
OLOL is wonderful!!! My children are being educated in a strong Christian environment with exceptional teachers. Students are taught the value of giving back to the community and true stewardship, e.i., visiting the elderly in nursing homes, collecting food and clothes for the poor, raising money for community causes, actively participating in community events, etc. They hold high behavioral expectations for their students and have programs at all grade levels to teach respect for yourself and others. OLOL also employs a resource teacher who has been extremely valuable in working with advance and remedical students starting in kindergarten. Parents are involved in the school which enhances the school experience. The school has proven to instill strong Christian values with high academic standards. Many OLOL graduates hold leadership positions and 75% are on WDPHS's honor roll and 100% are on Notre Dame's honor roll. OLOL school is a hidden gem!
at our lady of lourdes i have taken out all of my kids because of the huge bullying problem that nobody seems to care about. there has also been multiple other personal problems
