After homeschooling my son for three years, Edgerton Middle School did a wonderful job helping my son transition back into a school environment. The staff was very conscious of working with our family in making sure that he had the support that he needed and made sure that issues were addressed right away so as to not snowball into something greater such as the fiasco listed in the prior rating.
A very big change from Community Elem to the middle school. Bullying is tolerated here, which is unacceptable. Teachers/Admin don't want to intervene and want kids to 'take care' of things themselves, until it gets out of hand, and the admin calls the cops. There is nothing in place to proctect special needs children from getting pushed/hit/shoved/kicked daily as the teachers turn a blind eye.
What a great school! There is a true sense of community with the extracurricular activities. The teachers and administration are wonderful. I could not say anything negative about the entire district, or this school.
