i am a former student of this school and i was physically assaulted almost everyday in middle school by other students in my grade and higher grades. the teachers just look the other way. this school is a horrible environment. you might as well just send your children to public schools.

The "anti-bullying campaign" has only escalated the bullying and victimization, teaching kids new ways to bully. It's true there is a COMPLETE LACK OF ENFORCEMENT. This may be due to the fact these bullies use passive-aggressive tactics that are difficult to detect. Parents are not as invloved this year as compared to last year. Don't know enough about Common Core cirriculum yet, but hope the smart kids are not dragged down by the underperformers. Glad they still have art, music, gym, culture, language and after school activities. so far most things seem good.

We love the school, and the teachers, the lack of enforcement of the policy against Bullies is not acceptable. Administrators, Wake Up! You will end up with a student body full of bullies and any child with potential will be forced to leave because not enough action is being taken to stop the bullies. You will lose the ability to teach and carry on the heritage of each tribe. The ones that care the mose will be forced to leave.

My experiences with I.C.S. have been great. My child came from an MPS school with a dwindling budget. Unlike many other schools, this school offers all of the specials: library, gym, computer, music, art, and native language. Native culture is incorporated in the curriculum, and my child has learned alot, especially coming from a family that is a product of assimilation. The teachers have been more than accomodating, and the school has many great resources. The school uses current research based teaching strategies and my child is proficient in all of the subject areas. The staff at I.C.S. care about their students, regardless of their nationality. Parents who are involved with their child's education know what strengths and weaknesses their child has and works with them outside of the classroom. It cannot be expected that a teacher be the sole proprietor of a child's education - what @ the parents?

This is not a very good school. Children that leave this school are almost always behind when going to high school, or going to any other school for that matter. It is nice that it is for Native American children but there are not to many Native Americans working there.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
