The teachers, the new principal and staff care about the students and do a great job. They are open to meeting w/ family members. They really do their job above and beyond and appear to enjoy it.
Our children have attending this school for a number of years. An alarming trend has been developing in the last few years, however. Some parents have reported an obsessive amount of homework, which has caused great anxieties for the households.
Great Staff, Excellent environment, top quartile in the state for academics.
K-4 is exceptional. 5-8 is quite different. Music, Art and Band are very good. Recent changes in the upper grades have diminished quality of school. School needs to be enlarged (2 trailers behind school) but community won't do it.
My child has only been in the Raynond school for 1 year (kindergarden). Not only am I impressed with the teacher, but the involvment from the community exceeds expectations. Parental involvment in Raymond has been encouraged and welcomed. The PTO at this school is top-notch. The school building could use impovement, but the heart of the school is pumping loud and proud. I was a student in Raymond from 3rd grade till I graduated 7th grade. The staff and everything there was incredible/exceptional/etc. Raymond definitely has an excellent educational program. I learned that when i moved to a seemingly top-notch private school down in Fla. I couldnt belive the difference in education. I was ahead of all the students in most of my classes. Raymond provides a great staff that really go beyond what normal teachers do for their kids. You'd think a private school would be state-of-the-art almost. But I have to say, Raymond tops out at the best. When i graduate vet school and whatnot and get married and start a family(maybe), I would definitely consider Raymond School above all. I can't believe all I've learned there.
I have a 4th grader there, when my child started at the school last year she had a reading problems but due to their in school special courses she has not only achieve she excels in her reading. Raymond is a small school but they have not skimped on what is best for the children. And even though this day and age is so pc they have maintained safety and discipline for each child.
