This schools new principal has really changed this school. There is now a new grading system, and schedule. The standard space grading system is now used in many schools, or being introduced to them. Many people can find ways to complain, but few find ways to put up. Other schools are worse.
I have one child who attended Northern Ozaukee Middle School and also has special needs. This school is WAY behind on understanding what this means. No extras, no new technology tools and no considerations regarding "special needs". They claim they have "individual learning", this could not be further from the truth. They also have a special room for naughty children so the teachers to not have to work or deal with them while working through their emotional difficulties. This is not presented to parents until a situation comes up or you personally see this. Please consider other schools and do your homework prior to subjecting your children to this environment. We will not be returning to this school!!!!
My son has only attended this school for one year, and we will not be returning. Communication with home is poor and primarily limited to fund raising. Student progress tracking is difficult, despite a perfectly good on-line 'family access system'.
