This is a great school! We love that it is a small, close-knit community that fosters family involvement in the educational, spiritual development of the children. The school offers a wide variety of programs that help with busy lifestyles: before and after school care, morning nutrition, summer care, and hot lunch (prepared fresh on site!). The curriculum includes music, art, foreign language, character education, and computer science (upgraded computer lab as of 2006/07 school year.) In fact, students scored--on average--one full grade level higher than their actual grade on the Iowa Basic Skills Test. The students also have access to a wide variety of extra-curricular activities: artist in residence, athletics, Bellin Run training, keyboard lessons, field trips, family activities, etc. Holy Cross School has had a positive impact on our entire family!
