I attended Pilgrim as a child 20 years ago, and my children now attend. class sizes of 20ish make learning easier for individual attention, but yet a selection of kids to become close friends with. Bulling is NOT tolerated, The teachers all do in-home visits to meet the families at the beginning of the year for all their new students. This is great for the kids to get 1-on-1 time before starting school and the teacher will tell them what to expect, see their rooms, meet their pets, etc. My daughters teacher even went above & beyond, knowing she struggled with Math and set up her to have a private teacher aid tutor for a small group of them who needed additional help to it 3 days a week during math class! 5-8 grades have the kids move rooms to different teachers like in high school. They seem to love it, and even kids across grades become friends through sports, after school or recess. Cafeteria is maintained by a professional caterer, and has the BEST food(like baked Ziti). (Perhaps I am biased, as she also did my wedding!). They offer scholarships to those that need help, and a massive discount for members of church.
I went to Pilgrim Lutheran School and Church. I have not recieved a better education then at Pilgrim. The teachers take the time to help each individual student and make sure that the student is working to his/her own potential. I would recommend this school and church to anyone!!
