As both a parent and substitute in the district, I am impressed with Rossman. I have been extremely pleased with the education my 2 daughters are receiving. Overall, the teachers are caring and knowledgeable. The school maintains a good and respectful learning environment and has high expectations in student achievement and behavior. Teachers do the needed work to keep learning engaging - and differentiate their instruction to challenge students who need more and support those who are struggling. I would rank most teachers as 5 star, but have reservations about one teacher my oldest had early in her learning.
I think Rossman school has great teachers and staff. I think that the grading system for kindergarten thru 3rd grade is horrible. I don't care if everybody else is using it. Proficient isn't acceptable to me.
