Friedens Evangelical Lutheran School is a school choice school. The school embraces diversity which includes race, special needs, differing interests and economic background. There are small classrooms and the children receive a lot of attention. Academically challenging for the students. Transparent communication between parents and faculty/staff leads to the success of the students. Parental involvement and a friendly school and church community greatly contributes to the success of the school. It is a wonderful school to volunteer for since so many fun and interesting families. Leadership is always striving to be the best; WELLSA certification almost complete. One of two school choice schools in Kenosha. Any social lessons be it poor behavior, great behavior, sportsmanship or teasing can be taught through the bible and using Christ as an example. Friedens is a blessing.

I am a parent that has had four children attend Friedens. Two of which are now on the Dean's list of private colleges and two still attend Friedens. Friedens Lutheran School offers a complete and quality Christian education. Their curriculum challenges the students while the teachers motivate the students to work up to their potential and inspires them to move beyond. They offer extra curriculars such at several sports, Battle of the Books (County Champions twice in the last three years), Forensics(public speaking), band, piano, & drama club. All of these programs are run by dedicated faculty who work towards the best interest of each student. The principal is concerned with each and every student. He strives to maintain the quality while progressively keeping the school ahead of the standards.

Community ratings and reviews do not represent the views of GreatSchools nor does GreatSchools check their accuracy or verify the reviewers' identities. Use your discretion when evaluating these reviews.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
