My wife and I have been very thankful for Bethany Lutheran School. We are always amazed at the number of students that are now in high school that attended Bethany and are now on the High Honor Rolls at their schools. Bethany students are well equipped for high school and beyond. They offer so many extra-curricular opportunities including soccer, volleyball; basketball, dance, track, forensics, piano, choir, and band to name a few. Their teachers make themselves available to parents. I have even contacted my child's teachers at home when we were having a tough time on homework. I recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a strong educational school with a Christ- centered atmosphere.
Bethany is a Christ-centered school, which has a positive and caring staff. This school has made my kids more than ready for high school. The load of homework is acceptable and appropriately challenging. Teachers are continuously engagied in professional development for the better of their students. Their extra-curricular activities are supported and encouraged by staff and often coached by volunteers. Their school website is always up to date and very informative. If one would walk into Bethany, you would be overtaken with a sense of "family".
Extremely poor curriculum and unorganized. Not realistic or family friendly for 2014. Reduced before and after care programs, not even close to what other local schools are offering. Kids are almost a full year behind in education than their public school grade equivalent. Has the least amount of extracurricular activities of any school in town with no academic extracurricular. Grading is a joke with tests allowed as retakes so kids learn no study skills and just fail first test, retake and then keep new grade. Anybody can pass a test if they've already seen and taken it and are given the corrected answers! Your child will be severely behind. Homework is almost non existent resulting in no papers, no science projects or fairs, no challenges or exposure to what all other kids their age are learning and experiencing. Sports programs are totally lacking, often scheduled at the last minute, locations and times change and are unorganized and consist of 8hr tournaments instead of a season since they have no other schools to play.
Excellent, dedicated teachers and staff that is committed to providing each child with a Christian education. Devoted teachers to a quality education. Currently seeking Accreditation. Soccer and basketball programs for K-8. Wrestling for 1st-8th. Football, kickball and volleyball 3-8, Opportunities for parents/guardians to become involved in Booster Club.
