The principal referenced in the previous reviews is no longer employed by the district. The current principal is very inexperienced, but at least she doesn't bully students, staff, and parents, like the previous one. The staff there contains some fantastic teachers (2 with national board certifications, 2 Crystal Apple Award finalists) and some not-so fantastic teachers. However, the place still functions as a "holding tank" for kids until they can escape to the high school.
Principal allows the students to name call, swear and bully other students. Even when it is called to his attention, he does nothing about the situation. Schools are always saying they need parents to back them up, but schools also have a responsibility to not let students get away with things at school that they are not allowed to do at home.
Called the 'black hole'. Little or no oversight. Principal is rarely in the bldg.
