The teachers are great! There is a real sense of community at St. Mary's Parish School. Students are taught to live their Catholic faith by serving others.
Great teacher to student ratios. Top notch teachers! God and good principles are part of the kids daily experience.
St. Mary's gives our child an education that will build his faith and character and prepare him for a changing and challenging world.
St. Mary Parish School has a smaller class room and the kids seem to get alot of care from the teachers. They know all students by name and treat them like their own.
I love St Mary's because they teach life time values, respect, discipline, community service and academics that stretch from reading & math all the way to a scince lab, art, music & athletic activities.
We love St. Mary because of the special feeling we get right when we walk in the door. The principal is always there to greet the children and she know's all their names. The teachers are loving and compassionate, as they offer a curriculum that is regularly updated to stay on top of technology. We consider St. Mary to be part of our family!!
We switched over from another parochial school at the beginning of this school year. Finally, a place that I am comfortable to call 'home away from home' for the next several years for my child. Well-organized, fantastic staff. I couldn't be happier with our decision.
Teachers are genuinely interested in students. Iowa test scores and WKCE scores are high. There is a lot of feedback given, especially with online grades available to parents. Teachers are willing to work with children and give extra help when needed. There are reading specialists for younger and uppper grade children. Religion is integrated into everyday experiences, especially buddy programs between grade levels. Fine arts provides creative outlets - music, drama, mixed media - including clay. Both my children were well prepared for high school. The amount of parent involvement seems up to the individual - if you want to help, there are many outlets. Some parents do very little.
As a graduate of St. Mary Menomonee Falls, I was not particularly impressed with the school. Though its religious studies were nice, I found some teachers to be stellar, and others uninterested. The music teacher when I went was absolutely fabulous, as is the new gym. Overall, it can be a great experience if you are the right 'type' of student. If you're not, then good luck to you.
