Mr. Soderberg really has no say in what classes students take. Mr. Soderberg is in charge of disciplinary actions, and I'm assuming if your child is being directed by him they must frequently visit him. He handles his job very well because it is because of delinquents in our school that he virtually does have to babysit them. Merrill High School gave me four great years and since we've gotten our new administrative staff the school has come much more together as a whole. Keep it up Merrill High!

With a new Superintendent at the helm and a dedicated school board focused on meaningful improvements that will help students to succeed, Merrill High is an excellent choice for any high school student.

I think if we get rid of Mr. Soderberg, it could give the students who want to get more classes to be in school more of an opportunity to do so. Mr. Soderberg discourages it and tells the kids and parents that they are a school, not a babysitter. Ok then, why won't he allow students to take more classes if they have time in the day and want more credits? Why discourage the kids from gettting more of an education?

The problem in this school district is the administration (i.e. School Board and Administrator). Just plain bad management of people and finances.

MHS and the district has new motivated and enthusiastic leadership and is currently in the process of researching and promoting changes that will enhance student learning and achievement.
