I have had first had experience inside this school and I can say that it is a disgusting excuse for an educational facility. Teachers do not treat students like human beings. They yell, intimidate, humiliate and embarass the students. As a result student engagement and self esteem is low. The teachers I have experienced are filled with bitterness and contempt for the community and their students. This school also lacks a culturally diversive educational program. Students unique cultural perspectives are not considered, nor are they given voice to express that culture. These students are disrespected and dismissed by most. Things are only taught one narrow way with little help from administration when problems arise. I would rather my child watch soap operas all day then attend one minute at Hampton elementary.

Me myself I love the education that Hampton has provided to my children and the attention that my 7 year old gets with her special needs. However I don't like that the new principal don't have the courtesy to call me in regards to my daughter.Mr.Devito was the best there was and there would never be able to replace him. What happened?I thought that my child was safe at hampton but i guess i was proved wrong.
