My daughter did not receive the care that she needed. Bullying and sexual harassment run rampant at that school with little serious regard from the staff.
Not only were the academics subpar, but every attempt to get in contact with the staff was met with complete disregard. I tried for 9 months to get ahold of the principal/vice principal and was ignored.
I finally pulled my daughter out in 2014 and it was the best decision we made. She is now in counseling to help combat the traumatic experiences of all the bullying she endured at this school.
If you can, please send your children elsewhere. With a 2 rating why would you take the chance anyway?
I don't remember the name of the counselor there in 2014, but she seemed to really care about my daughter after a traumatic event took place. It was nice to see someone at the school taking things seriously.
I was seldom ever able to get in contact with any of my daughter's teachers with answers to even simple questions such as when soccer started one spring. It took 2 weeks to get back to me after emails, calls, and a school visit.
Many students not ready for middle school have difficulty being quiet and respecting teachers. There are many very spoiled children who are difficult for the teachers to control. My child has difficulty hearing the teachers.
