I am a DSHA alumn, class of 1998! My whole educational background before HS was public schools from West Allis and early on Milwaukee. Public schools cannot even hold a candle to the wonderful education I received at DSHA. The teachers went above and beyond to make sure you were always on track, you were never just a number. The economical backgrounds of the student body was diverse. My family was not rich and I never felt an issue with that, nor did I view the school as snobby. It was all about getting a wonderful education, building confidence, become a young woman, and having fun while doing so! Do not be intimidated by an all girl atmosphere or the tuition, this school is for any girl of any ethnic or economical background who wants to get ahead and have fun while doing so!

DSHA provided my daughters with a superior jump start going into college. An outstanding academic institution that provides the girls graduating a foundation not only in academics but in becoming a whole person. I am currently a freshman at DSHA and I hated the idea of attending there at first, but as time progressed I am learning much more than I would in a public high school. I'm still not used to seeing so many girls at one time and I'm still adjusting to the school, but overall it's not bad at all.

The quality education at DSHA is exceptional. I have never been more happy with a school. My daughter enjoys attending school, and she is very self sufficent and all her shyness has diminished. It has been one of the best decisions we made on behalf of our daughter. She has become so committed to her studies, developed wonderful leadership skills and has become dedicated to service in our community. Her teachers are top notch, they not only challenge her, but seem to geniunely care about her. Mr. Grandy, Ms. Weiss, Ms. Casper are just some of the stand out teachers she has had over the years. Issues of morality and spirituality are woven into every day. DSHA has high goals to continue to improve not only it's facilities but also works to improve the curriculum, staff and opportunities made available to the girls. The school celebrates family by hosting Mother/Daughter, Father /Daughter events and service projects. There is a waiting list for this all girls high school for a reason!

I will be a sophomore at DSHA. I cannot think of anything negative to say, except that some girls are a bit boy crazy. It's extremely diverse, ethnically, spiritually, and economically. We have good financial aid, great academics, and brilliant teachers. We have great sports teams, even the national champion rugby team. Theology class deepened my faith immensely. I have also met many of other religions, something brand new to me. Lutherans, Muslims, Baptists, and Jews are all welcomed just as any other student. All races interact, a great quality. This is an amazing school. Don't miss out.
