I am pleased I put my second grader back in St. MM! We tried a different school last year for first grade and were not impressed. Too expensive and we were treated like paychecks not people!) St.MM has a new principal that seems eager and hard working. The teachers are great and the education my son receives is excellent. He is happy and so are we! The Home and School association is great and the office lady is phenomenal. Nice, clean, diverse environment. There are bad eggs anywhere you go to school, it is how they are handled that is important and to put it simply St. MM does have enforced rules and good communication with the parents/guardians of its students. We feel at home here and I plan to send my toddler and infant to school at St. MM.
Committed staff, a diverse learning community, learning is as important as living the Gospel values
Very Good education, My Kids have been going to it for 10years! great community and great friends with friendly attitudes!
I am extremely pleased with this school. The principal was very helpful in assistance with getting my children enrolled. I am also very happy with the quality of the education. I would never switch to public school system. It was a terrible experience.I couldn't be happier.
My kids have been going to SMM for about 6 years and I have seen alot of changes. They have made great strides in the K's, the intermediate and middle school areas. I still feel that there should be more time spent with the 1-3 grades in helping these kids learn to get a handle on what school is all about and what it means to be socially ready. Working with these grades should be considered the same as working with the K's, not going from wondering the class room to having to completely sit still with little movement for such young children. There are many ways to teach and SMM needs to spend time with the teachers from this level. Once this is accomplished I think there will be no stopping SMM from being the ultimate school for kids. Some extracurriculars for these grades would be nice too.
I am a bit dissapointed with this school's curriculum. My two sons have been attending this school for 5 years, I feel they are not getting the help they truley need in reading. I have addressed the teachers and principal on this, all to no avail. my oldest is going to highschool next year. I had to transfer them so he can get better prepared. His grades in 8th grade are average at St. Margaret Mary, but his academic ability is only that of 6th grade. I wish they would improve their academic study habits, and lessons.
As a new parent to St. Margaret Mary School, I am quite confident that I made the right school choice for my 4 yr old son. I am very impressed with the amount of professionalism among the staff and administration and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere. As the school has just received exemplary recognition in curriculum and instruction, I know my son will recieve the best possible academic preparation. S.M.M. has strived to create an inviting learning and faith-filled community. My wife and I are very pleased with our decision.
