I have two high energy boys in this school and enjoy the fact that there is flexibility in the classrooms. My boys tell me that if the classroom starts getting antsy there teacher will let them blow off steam with extra recess. Parents whose kids aren't performing get emails if homework is missing or if the teacher notices changes in behavior we get notified prior to it escalating or cause issues with grades. The school is well rounded with religion, music program, 2nd language class, art, gym & strong in math/science. Kids who have academic issues can get tutored 1:1 with volunteer tutors. Only thing is hot lunch is 3x/week but it's home cooked food & organic. The other two days we brown bag. Over all a well rounded curriculum.

I have one child enrolled in St Sava school she is in K4 and absolutely love it. The classes are small and tuition is reasonable. I would recommend it to anyone.

St. Sava is a great school with high academic achievement and sound religious curriculum in the Orthodox Christain faith. St. Sava is a diamond in the rough and a bargain. The school has a great teacher to student ratio of 1 to 12.

I currently have four children enrolled at St. Sava's and am very happy with their program. The curriculum is very strong, the teacher/student ratio is very low, and their staff members are wonderful. My children are in a great environment where education is a priority as is the teaching of Christian values.

I have two children enrolled in the School, one in preschool and the other in K5. My 5 year old is already reading! I would say this is an excellent Orthodox Christian education.

I have three children enrolled at St. Sava and am extremely happy with the school. It actually is k4 thru 8th and the student to teacher ratio is very low (about 8 to 1). The Terranova scores for this year were very high, with just about all students well above their national grade averages.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Average
Above
average

Our rating (from 1 to 10) reflects a school's overall performance. The higher the rating, the more likely the school will prepare your child for the future, so choose an above-average school (8-10) if possible. For average schools (4-7), do careful research and look for evidence that the school has high-quality programs. For below-average schools (1-3), take caution; a low-performing school may not provide the instruction or environment your child needs to learn, and you may need to supplement classroom lessons at home.

Academic rating

The academic rating is made up of equally-weighted parts: students' test scores, their academic growth (for elementary and middle schools) and their readiness for college (for high schools). Unfortunately, this school doesn't have sufficient data to generate an academic rating.

Climate ratings

This rating encompasses five elements of school climate: safety and cleanliness, respect and relationships, expectations for students, teacher collaboration and support, and parent involvement. This school's climate ratings are the result of GreatSchools' analysis of teacher survey data from the Spring 2012 School Climate Survey developed by Milwaukee Public Schools. Unfortunately, this school didn't provide enough survey responses to generate a climate rating.
