Profile Completeness

ADVANCED

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

As a student here at Reagan, I can say that this one of the better schools in Wisconsin. Reagan consistently has higher scores than most other schools and is ranked one of the top in the nation. The courses are varied enough and are rigorous, which prepares the students for college courses and life. The teachers have a great attitude towards students and strive for students to receive the best education possible. The school offers multiple extra curricular activities for students to delve into (such as sport teams, plays, and newspaper). These things prepare the student for college and ultimately for life.

The academics at this school are great. Some of the teachers could have better attitudes and listen to student opinions, but it is a great community. There aren't any major problems here either. There are ample opportunities for learning and tutoring as well.

Ronald W. Reagan in definitely one of the best schools you can go to. The academics are challenging, and the expectations are high. Only those truly determined to succeed will thrive here. The people are kind, and willing to help if you need it. I chose to go here because I had heard about how great it was, and I must say it exceeded my expectations.

Reagan have some of the best teachers that are in the MPS system. They are a careing group of teachers. That care about the education and future of your child. The students at Reagan are like one big family with teachers, teen and parents work as one for the benefit of the school and child. Community involvement is very strong at Reagan the community cares about the students at reagan and help out in may ways towards there success at Reagan by hiring some of the teen, coming up with new programs for the students. Reagan also have cutting edge technology. So when our students leave Reagan they are ready to compete in College and Beyond.

The best place I've ever worked. The staff work collectively to benefit all students who walk through the door. We started the school year today and students were excited to return and see their friends and teachers. It's going to be a great year!!!

Both of my children are alumni of this cutting edge high school. They loved the years they attended and both received major college scholarships based upon their IB courses, academic performance, and their high ACT scores. I cannot speak highly enough about how this academically challenging school prepares our teens to succeed in college and in life.

I've watched this school grow from a small high school serving 230 students to a large high school with 1,300 students. Along the way, the staff has keep true to the IB curriculum. They focus on the success of ALL students and go out of their way to ensure progress and proficiency. A truly great high school in the Greater Milwaukee area!

Reagan has provided a welcoming atmosphere to incoming freshman. Freshman Orientation this week has my daughter excited for the new school year ahead and has mom feeling confident that we made the right choice with our high school selection. Both staff and students have been encouraging and my daughter has expressed an interest already in getting involved in activities. I appreciate the diversity in the student population which will make for a well rounded high school experience for my daughter. Expecting great things this year! Way to go Reagan!!!

IB schools are NOT for everyone. Reagan's classes are rigorous and challenging, however, they do offer a safe learning environment and the teachers are always available to help the students as much as possible. (Keep in mind that the school's classes sizes increase each year, therefore, teachers will have about 200-300 students; thus, helping everyone is impossible) it's MPS so school lunch sucks but you get priviledges, and you are able to leave early and eat lunch somewhere else. Also, Reagan is a IB school and it prepares you for college! You take IB exams at the end of your senior year and, depending on your scores, you get full college credit. A.K.A. free $$$$$ This post is rather bius, since I do attend the school, so please look into credible sources for facts on the school ;)

In response to the most recent comment, I am highly upset at such a false critique about my school! I like many of my peers who attend Reagan are full I.B. diploma students. Students in which have to work even harder then most AP schools. So it is extremely rude to make claims about ALL the students when you personaly do not know them or their work ethic!! Reagan is an extremely great school with amazing teachers and even better chances to better your future.

I find it hilarious that someone can leave such negative feedback to somewhere that you have not personally experienced. I myself attend Reagan High School and am very offended by that comment. Reagan is a great school to send your kids especially if you are looking to get a great education. I, and many others, take all IB classes, which are very hard to handle. I bust my butt of at Reagan and get good grades and for someone to even say that EVERYONE shows a lack of motivation just proves that they do not know much about Reagan.

My daughter"s first year their was amazing it was a rigorous schedule for her but, she did excellent in adjusting as a incoming freshman. she joined several of the clubs and the teachers are awesome they kept in contact with me regarding my daughter grades and her performance in and out of the classroom. The staff at Reagan cares about your child I feel completely confidence in sending my teen to Reagan everyday. Their security team really cares about the children and they nip any negative mess right away. I have never seen any gangs or drugs while i have been inside the school. The teens their all seem like one big family. I not saying they all get along all the time. but, they have respect for each other. It';s not a whole lot of fights and drugs like other MPS Schools. It is very diverse you will see alot of different ethnic teens at Reagan. From all over the globe. It's is truly a Great MPS School!!! It's has all three EXCELLENT TEACHERS, STRONG PRINCIPAL, AND CHALLENGING ACADEMICS. AND A GREAT STAFF TO HELP EVRYTHING RUN SMOTTHLY FOR THE BENEFIT OF YOUR TEEN.

The teachers and other staff members really care about the needs of every student. The environment of the school is also one in which any student can feel safe learning in. Everybody in this school's community works together to provide only the best education for its students.

I am currently a student at Reagan and I have mixed feelings about my time at Reagan thus far. On the positive side, the IB curriculum is rigorous and definitely challenges students. Most of the teachers are very helpful and they know their stuff. The school also has many extracurricular activities. However, the administration fails to realize that a large portion of its student body is not prepared for the IB program, nor are they interested in taking advantage of all the opportunities Reagan offers. The administration also ignores its gang and drug activity which runs rampant. Its quite hard to enjoy school when your class is full a students who just don't care and, quite frankly, it isn't fair to the student who came to Reagan for the small school environment, and the challenging academics.

This is a fantastic MPS high school that gives students the opportunity to participate in a rigorous academic curriculum and earn college credit if their IB (International Baccalaureate) test scores are high enough. The teachers at Reagan are dedicated, hard working, and stay in close contact with parents. I love the fact that I get POSITIVE phone calls from teachers about my daughter. Besides the great academics, this school has a warm, inclusive, nurturing feel and is strongly anti-bullying.

I am sad to say that this previously wonderful school has fallen into the trap of trying to be so politically correct, that it is now using reverse racism to prove that they are fair. It is unfortunate because the school has a lot to offer academically. Administration needs to get past the race issue, stop reverse racism and just educate. The children and the school would all be better off.

A school where strong academics is valued, and not just in print. More than 80% of their teaching staff have a Masters of Education or higher. Athletes are scholarly, or they don't play. No if, and, or but!

I currently attend reagan, and yes it is very considered a 'hard' high school but in my point of view its not at all. yes it challenges us but they do this to prepare us for college. Am a junior and in my years at this school i believe that am well prepared for college and anything it throws at me. the people who really complain about the school are the students who really dont try or put any effort into their studies. it's vey easy to get decent grades if you put effort into. theirs only one problem that i believe has to change and thats is some of the staff ' the ladies in the office' they really at times seem like they care more about themselves then the students but the teachers at this school are great. i really love this school and am happy i came here.

The teachers are great but the staff is little help i think. I don't like the school one bit along with many other peers that attenend Reagan. If you looking for a school with awesome theachers go here, if your looking for a pretty honest staff find yourself a new school.

An amazing 100% IB School! Kids have no choice but to take IB classes. This is not a place for kids who want to skate through school and lack discipline. Very challenging! We just need to make sure that the superintendent and the school board don t screw around with the factors that make this school such an amazing success.

This is an outstanding school that sets high expectations for our kids. The teachers are available to work with students at mid block and after school. I get prompt responses to emails and phone calls. The school is diverse in it's make up yet very safe. This is a school for students who are going to go to college and be successful there.

If you're looking for an IB school that treats all students equally...don't look to this school. Academics are hard w/ little help offering. Security guards seem to be more concerned about students than staff. Most teachers expect a computer at home or access to one. If you're not close to a library (which can have computers in use by others), you better move closer to one to accommodate this school.
