We chose MJDS for our three children, who are now adults, and have never regretted this decision for a moment. Our sons and daughter thrived at this school because the teachers and administrators saw them as individuals - unique and talented in their own ways. They were challenged academically, allowed to think creatively and critically, and exceedingly well prepared for high school and beyond. All three students internalized the Jewish values they were taught and that were modeled daily by their teachers. Our children learned a lot in high school and college, but their true academic and moral foundation came from their years at MJDS. I love MJDS so much that I became a staff member 21 years ago. Having taught in other schools, I can verify the type of teachers who are hired - talented, flexible, creative, dedicated to their students and devoted to this school. They care for each other, the students and the families who support our efforts. I am proud to be a teacher here and proud of our family's decision to choose MJDS for our children 29 years ago.

Our daughter attended MJDS for ten years. In addition to an excellent secular education that set her up for great success in high school and college, MJDS nurtured her Jewish heart. She is a young woman who believes in her ability to make a difference in the world and is proud of her Jewish heritage. The teachers and staff were always ready to help her with a difficult subject and rejoiced in her successes. Our family looks back on our time at MJDS as the best investment we made for our daughter s future.

As a parent of an MJDS grad, I can honestly say that her success personally and professionally can be credited in large part to her eight years there. She has a positive value system and confident personality. She was more than prepared for high school when she graduated. I would recommend MJDS to any family looking for a quality education in this ever-changing world.

Worst school ever! I'm so glad my kids are no longer there. The public schools in our area offer so much more! Don't even think to send your kids to MJDS.

Yesterday my son and his class were supposed to see a play. The field-trip was cancelled, though, because the play was deemed inappropriate for the kids. The whole thing was handled perfectly. The kids didn't feel sad at all, and knew why they couldn't go. My son even explained it to me. His teachers also made the day super fun! As a fellow educator and parent, I salute really appreciate it!

Don't believe everything you read. My definition of this school is HYPOCRISY. Hypocrisy "is the claim or pretense of holding beliefs, feelings, standards, qualities, opinions, behaviors, virtues, motivations, or other characteristics that one does not actually hold". A Jewish school with no Jewish values. Very sad.

My children have graduated with a solid Jewish identity and sense of self. MJDS provided a great education, leaving them well prepared for high school and beyond. MJDS not only gave them a rich education in STEM subjects, but taught them HOW to study and pull pertinent information, making secondary and tertiary education easier.

I am very excited about the path MJDS is on. Our older children love MJDS and have thrived here. MJDS really cares about our children and teaches them lifelong values- not just academics.

I want to thank Ari's teacher Jillian Kraus-Voras at MJDS for helping my son to be confident in who is. She has helped him believe in himself and shown him nothing but love. I could not be luckier to have had him in a class with such an amazing woman. I thank G-d for her and appreciate her more than she will ever know. This school has been nothing but a blessing for our family.

When choosing the right school for our son, we looked for a school that would encourage self esteem, a sense of Jewish pride, and an excellent education. We could not be more pleased to be a part of the MJDS family. In our son's first year at MJDS, we have seen him blossom. This school ensures that each child feels that they are a part of a community and a family. The teachers create a warm environment where all children are encouraged to learn creatively and at their own pace. Not only has our son excelled in his schooling, he has developed a strong sense of Judaism. This has brought more Jewish traditions into our home as well. The Jr K year has been a wonderful experience for our son, and our entire family.

I'm both a parent of a student at Milwaukee Jewish Day School and a part-time teacher. I teach a woodworking class to 7th and 8th graders twice weekly, and was overwhelmed by the sense of independence that I witnessed in a recent class. The class is making a "sofa server" (what we used to call TV trays) and I had to change the plans a bit to fit their abilities. I showed them how to make the modifications on one student's components, but I messed up her pieces a bit in the process. Rather than lamenting that it was ruined and waiting for me to give them direction on what to do, two kids immediately set about on their own and figured out a perfect way to repair the parts so no one will ever know that they were messed up. Then, two other students started working on ways we could improve the process to ensure it didn't happen again. I just listened. We used one of their ideas and, sure enough, problem solved. This is symptomatic of what happens every day at MJDS: The kids are given a challenge, along with the empowerment to collaborate, and they solve problems. I had heard about the school moving in this direction, but this is the first time I had experienced it.

I recently attended the school's talk about the future of education. It was really exciting. It sounds like MJDS is really putting students at the center of education with their new "student-owned learning" approach. I see the excitement in my kids. They are really engaged in the learning. Highly recommend!

This school is a fake. It's all about the show. When the cameras are off, you can see the true colors of this place and its people. They don't really care about your kids, they care about your money. No values. Just empty words. Such a disappointment.

As a parent, I would like to thank all the teachers and staff at MJDS; to those who keep the lights on and the hallways clean, who feed them, greet them at the door, teach them in the classroom, in the hallways and any other venue it may be, you have made a difference in our children s lives. Thanks to you, our children grow up to be confident, loving, caring, contributing members of our society. It is you who impact their lives everyday when they walk through the star doors. It is you who gives them the skills to excel in whatever it is they choose to do in the future, whether it be art, science, social and all with a big dose of Tikun Olam. There is NO monetary value we can associate with all you do for parents and students. Know the world is a better place because of you. As a supporter of the public school system, I never thought I will send my kids to a private Jewish Day School, but MJDS is more than just a school, it is the sum of all that is good in you, in our community and in our world. I am eternally grateful to a friend who insisted I would visit the school. The investment has and will pay dividends, and the world will benefit by having children attend MJDS.

Okay school. Kids are very nice. Positive side about classes: less class size, which means that the teachers give you more attention if you need help. Work can be frustrating. Great sense of community when you walk in. Teachers are very good in engaging with me and my fellow students. Overall good education and cirriculum

Milwaukee Jewish Day school(mjds) is so much more than a school. I have children at the school and I have been very impressed. The teachers are excellent and do all they can to make them have the best learning experience. Besides the education being excellent they are teaching the children about the needs of the world around us and how to do our part in making the world a better place. In my mind there is no comparison when it comes MJDS.

We had a bad experience with MJDS. We would not recommend this school to anyone. Although the school has a "no bullying" policy my kid was being bullied constantly and nobody cared. The administration didn't do anything about it. They only want your money and they only count you if you pay full tuition.

My children have thanked me repeatedly for sending them to MJDS, where curiosity and learning happen. They didn't realize how good a school it was until they started high school, and found out how much they had learned during their years at MJDS that their classmates still hadn't learned. It's a school that encourages kids to aim high, but readily provides extra help for kids who request it. There are kids here from different economic backgrounds. The school enforces a "no bullying" policy and encourages cooperation among people of all ages, has a "book buddies" program that pairs younger and older kids, and is a warm, engaging, evolving, positive environment for learning. I highly recommend it!

I have four children currently enrolled at MJDS and I can say with confidence that it has been the best decision I have ever made. The academics are outstanding. Each and every staff member and teacher takes care of and nurtures my children which leads to self confidence and a level of compassion for others I have not seen at other schools. In addition, the parent community is warm and inclusive which really communicates the feeling of belonging and a sense of community.

My kids come home with smiles almost every day. They love the school, and they are really learning ideas and problem solving. I am surprised at the breadth of opportunities in a relatively small school school. They also have some really superstar teachers.

Sending your kids to MJDS is a waste of time and money! There is nothing special about this school. Public schools in the area offer so much more. We tried this school but it was terrible in so many ways.

MJDS has an incredibly warm and nurturing environment. The teachers really care about each individual child. I have two kids in the school, and I regularly get phone calls home from teachers just to share something fun or positive. I also appreciate the recent changes in math and reading curriculum -- great steps forward!

I should give no stars!!! This is very very very bad school. I had so bad experience with this school. My son suffered from 1-st day. Student separated between rich and poor. Teachers don t do nothing about it. But OK. we came to study, not to play. Very poor program. After four month I took my child from the school. Thanks G-d he is in normal WI school now.

As a parent of two children at Milwaukee Jewish Day School, I have never experienced such love and care in a school community. The individualized attention, academics & building of a Jewish identity is unique. It is a place where children feel safe, they are able to grow into successful young adults and establish relationships with friends and teachers that last a lifetime. It is truly an amazing place to be. I encourage explore the option and see it first hand!

An alum currently in high school, I feel MJDS did an exceptional job preparing me. The indescribable relationships between teachers and students is something that we take for granted. Chances are, you will never be able to get the same attention and devotion from your teachers as you got at MJDS. It was a great environment that gave me a powerful Jewish education that has become an essential part of my understanding of the world. I may not agree with every philosophy that the school brought upon me, but it allowed me to expand my horizons and think outside the box, which is most important in an elementary education.

Preparing children for the future is key. I think Milwaukee Jewish Day School captures the escence of learning, making the learning an enjoyable thing. Not only does it prepare you well, it excedes preperation. At MJDS, the goal is to educate your children, as well as teaching them about what it means to be Jewish. I am in the current 7th grade and this school has really helped me to find who I am.

MJDS is an excellent school. The art program (or as they call it in the school, OMANUT), is an amazing program with tons of choices to choose for electives. The sports are awesome. MJDS is academically excellent, and, if you look at the profile of the school, you could see that MJDS is a better school than every other school around it. Teachers are very nice and love to teach, and everyone knows everyone and there is absoloutely no violence. MJDS is a home and a family.

MJDS is a great school. Teachers love to teach and the environment is great. Everyone know everyone and learning is fun. With interesting field trips, fun Jewish holidays participation and the great Jewish feeling around, this school is excellent. Not to mention that on state tests. MJDS is definitely an acadmmically accelerating school with tons of opportunities.
