Amazing experience, superior staff & a kind caring community. I wouldn't have it any other way.

The worse school in the world. Kids just wasting time in this school. Teachers prefer to do nothing. My daughter was in K5 and even didn't started to read. Unbelievable, but this school practice kids punishment and if you try to say something - they just kick your kid from the school. This is my privet experience. They talking so many about their education quality, but it's just words.

An alum currently in high school, I feel MJDS did an exceptional job preparing me. The indescribable relationships between teachers and students is something that we take for granted. Chances are, you will never be able to get the same attention and devotion from your teachers as you got at MJDS. It was a great environment that gave me a powerful Jewish education that has become an essential part of my understanding of the world. I may not agree with every philosophy that the school brought upon me, but it allowed me to expand my horizons and think outside the box, which is most important in an elementary education.

My 2 children got the best education at Milwaukee Jewish Day School. I wouldn't trade it for the world! The teachers are the best, hard working, and caring people.

I'm a teacher and a parent at this wonderful school. A wonderful learning environment where the child can find their own identity, be wonderfully prepared academically, learn their culture naturally, feel loved and have their voice heard.

Milwaukee Jewish Day School has given my children a well-balanced education while providing a family atmosphere. My children come home everyday with new information that they have learned from their teachers & peers. I hope more families realize what an amazing school MJDS really is!!

Preparing children for the future is key. I think Milwaukee Jewish Day School captures the escence of learning, making the learning an enjoyable thing. Not only does it prepare you well, it excedes preperation. At MJDS, the goal is to educate your children, as well as teaching them about what it means to be Jewish. I am in the current 7th grade and this school has really helped me to find who I am.

MJDS is an excellent school. The art program (or as they call it in the school, OMANUT), is an amazing program with tons of choices to choose for electives. The sports are awesome. MJDS is academically excellent, and, if you look at the profile of the school, you could see that MJDS is a better school than every other school around it. Teachers are very nice and love to teach, and everyone knows everyone and there is absoloutely no violence. MJDS is a home and a family.

MJDS is a great school. Teachers love to teach and the environment is great. Everyone know everyone and learning is fun. With interesting field trips, fun Jewish holidays participation and the great Jewish feeling around, this school is excellent. Not to mention that on state tests. MJDS is definitely an acadmmically accelerating school with tons of opportunities.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Above
average

Our rating (from 1 to 10) reflects a school's overall performance. The higher the rating, the more likely the school will prepare your child for the future, so choose an above-average school (8-10) if possible. For average schools (4-7), do careful research and look for evidence that the school has high-quality programs. For below-average schools (1-3), take caution; a low-performing school may not provide the instruction or environment your child needs to learn, and you may need to supplement classroom lessons at home.

Academic rating

The academic rating is made up of equally-weighted parts: students' test scores, their academic growth (for elementary and middle schools) and their readiness for college (for high schools). Unfortunately, this school doesn't have sufficient data to generate an academic rating.

Climate ratings

This rating encompasses five elements of school climate: safety and cleanliness, respect and relationships, expectations for students, teacher collaboration and support, and parent involvement. This school's climate ratings are the result of GreatSchools' analysis of teacher survey data from the Spring 2012 School Climate Survey developed by Milwaukee Public Schools. Unfortunately, this school didn't provide enough survey responses to generate a climate rating.
