In Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) you have the option to attend a neighborhood school, neighborhood specialty school, citywide specialty school or charter school. Students also have the option to attend a school outside the district (called interdistrict choice) or a private school using a voucher.Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as "in need of improvement" have the right to attend a higher-performing school in the district.
