The person who gave the one star sounds like sour grapes. My son will probably attend this school next year. All I have ever heard from parents is positives. My daughter who attends AHS says she knows kids that go there and the work is challenging. I am giving 4 stars in all areas because of what I have heard and seen so far and the site requires it. If I am wrong, I will come back to correct my review. I am so glad to hear the teachers are friendly. My child has had a few that make me wonder why they ever became teachers in the first place. He has also had some wonder teachers who I am very grateful for. I am curious if this person ever went to the public high school. The quality of teachers is truly hit or miss and when they do miss it is in a bad way. For example, let's test you on what I have never taught you. Go look it up on the computer. I dont have time to respond to parents emails. Maybe LCLH isn't so bad!

This school is terrible. The teachers are great people if you are looking for friends. If an education is desired, don't go here. This school shelters your child from everything imaginable, except drugs. The student body isn't perfect just because they attend a Lutheran/Christian school. This school shelters your child from hard work, consequences, and will not prepare your student for life in the real world. This school charges an insane amount for tuition (over $9000) seeing they offer very very little class selection. If you attend there the full four years, you will have maxed out all of their courses. Public schools provide a much larger course selection as well as more AP (Advanced Placement) courses. LCL does not prepare students for college and has very weak teachers. They are great people and they make great friend, but $9,000+ is a lot to have to pay to have friends. The school is all about the building. A new building doesn't improve the school's ability to provide quality eduction. The old building in Oconomowoc was perfectly fine. Parents aren't aware of the lack of education being provided because the teachers here give out good grades. Stay away from this school!

This is an amazing Christian school. The teachers are committed and the students are in an atmosphere that encourages positive Christ-centered atttudes. It was an excellent environment for our son while he attended the school. It now is attending college and is doing great.

Fantastic Christian environment. Even though it's called Lake Country Lutheran, they have many denominations. The students love the atmosphere of love and kindness. Teachers are incredible, learning is tough because they don't pamper you, but their world is filled with God's love and understanding. Beautiful and new, this school is going to be a great contender to Arrowhead and others. My Senior just graduated...all four years there. Has great admiration for the teachers and principal and I'm so happy she has a solid Christian background to bring to her college campus. Anyone considering a high school in the Lake Country area, please check this out. And those who think driving into Brookfield or Milwaukee, should think twice. Not only are those schools a distance, think of where your children's friends are....far away...along with the games if they participate. I can't thank God enough for leading us here.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
