I am a teacher at Patch and I have to say that I love this school. It is a great place to teach and learn. The staff are all really close and I think this shows throughout the school. The fact that it is only Kindergarten and First is also a wonderful thing. It keeps the young children away from the older kids who may not be the greatest influence at times. Yes I agree that it would be great if Patch was air conditioned and heated better in the winter but those things are minor. I would have to say that there are many more positive things about this school that definately out way those few negetive ones.

This is an old school that is home to Kindergarten and First only. A newer school (OES) houses the 2-5th. I feel, because of this, Patch is getting neglected. Patch children do not get the attention they need/deserve throughout the district. There is no air condition in this school, which gets unbearable on hot days. You share the principal, counselor, and other personal with OES on the other side of town. Academically, OK/Average. The lunch is sent from OES. By the time the kids eat (too early in the morning), it is awful, the worst looking and tasting ever, it is not well transported. But hey, who cares about K & 1st right? The teachers and other staff (permanently in-house) are good. The principal knows how to talk to kids but not adults. The bussing system is atrocious. Average school with TLC needed in all areas.
