I went to this school and found that the teachers cared about your personal learning more than they did about standardized tests and that may be why so many of us have gone on to have college degrees and careers that most people could only hope to have. This school is a little harder on its grading than most (at least when I was there 94% for an A-), but it teaches you to work hard, and to ask for help when you need it. Like all schools you get out of it what you put into it. I made sure to take advantage of teachers office if I needed it and I joined many clubs and sports teams. I would not have changed what I learned there or the experience for anything in the world.

I felt so sorry for the child of the person who wrote the Aug. 18th review. The review had 3 punctuation mistakes, 8 spelling errors and 3 capitalization errors. This parent obviously had an issue with their childs attendance. As a parent, your job is to get your child to school, on time, every day. Don't blame the school because you did NOT do your job. They are preparing your child for real life. If you don't come to a job you are fired. The lesson learned is: If you don't follow the rules there are consequences. That is a good life lesson. You, as an adult, haven't learned that yet. I feel bad that your child has to suffer because of your ignorance. Try backing the school and teachers for a change and see how your childs world will open up. Perhaps you could set up a meeting and talk to parents of successful students and see what they do different from you. Ignorance is NOT bliss when an education is on the line. Linda

Is it possible to give zero stars? Teachers spend more time talking about personal matters, or sitting on faecbook then actually doing there job. if your child is an honors student or star of a sport then the rules do not apply to them. The administration is lazy at that an hardly ever does anything besides scold students for having minor attendance issues. most parents in the community are involved but if your student isnt one of the best then the same attention is paid to the parents as their children, minimal!

If you want to psychologically damage your child for life, then send them to this school. As a former student, not only was I bullied relentlessly, but I'd also witnessed bullying of other students who were either mentally disabled or of a different color. No amount of going to the principal or others in authority with these issues or teachers made any difference for me or, I'm positive, anyone else. I've never understood how anyone could describe the atmosphere here as friendly.

Parkview provides a great learning environment and due to it's small size and there is plenty of opportunity for teacher assistance.

Very student friendly environment... Everyone knows everyone, and I kind of like it that way.
